Day 6 resulted in numerous upsets in the hot Palm Springs dessert air. Kim Clisjters joined the list as she was upset by the "Clubber" Alisa Kleybanova from Russia. The match went 3 sets with Kim leading 4-1 in the third-set tiebreaker, but Kim could not manage to hold on. Yeah, the WTA stars continue to drop in the Indian Wells tough climate. Other notable exits include Azarenka, Sharapova, Henin, Ivanovic, and Kuznetsova.
It's looking more and more like this may be another "break-through" tournament for Caroline Wozniacki, who is playing the most consistent out there in the hot dessert air. She manage to take out Nadia Petrova in 3 sets with the last being a "Bagel" Set! The most surprising upset was Victoria Azarenka losing to the 28-seed Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez. Good win for No 17-seed Shahar Peer from Israel who took out No. 9 Flavia Pennetta from Italy.
There were fewer upsets on the men's side of the draw. However, on notable exit - due to injury - was Nikolay Davydenko due to that lingering wrist injury. The Russian is due to be in plaster for a month as that wrist injury finally has been diagnosed as a break. Davydenko's misfortune is unlikely to delight new racket and clothing sponsor Dunlop, who finally came aboard to give the World No. 6 a clothing and equipment deal.
On the ATP-Tour, the bottom-half of the Round of 16 is set. John Isner beat his doubles partner Sam Querrey and will fact Rafael Nadal in the Round-16; Tomas Berdych destroyed Fernando Verdasco 6-4,6-1 to advance; Novak Djokovic will face Ivan Ljubicic; and Juan Monaco from Argentina will play Garcia-lopez from Spain.
The top half of Round-16 is being played as we blog. Early results include a 6-3,7-5 win for Andy Murray over the American Michael Russell; Robin Soderling over Feliciana Lopez 7-6(3), 6-4; and Joe-Willie Tsonga over Aberto Montanes. Andy Roddick has a one-set lead against Thieimo De Bakker from the Nederlands and it's "on serve" in the second set.
Still to come is the night match-up between Roger Federer and Marco Baghdatis. This should be an entertaining encounter.

Dies ist eine fantastische Sicht auf die Situation, ich denke nicht, ich habe recht es aus dieser Perspektive gesehen.
